May 4th, on the grounds of Walt Whitman High School, books, money, newspapers, photos, yearbooks, technology and more were buried. In 2075 or fifty years from now this large logo stainless steel capsule will be opened.
The district of South Huntington celebrated its 100th anniversary and thought this was the way to celebrate. Registering the time capsule with the ITCS (International Time Capsule Society) as well. All 7 schools in the district created a smaller time capsule that was encapsulated inside the larger capsule. Congratulations SHSD - here is to 100 more good years!
